FC Richmond Scholarship Awards Recognize those Payers who Have Participated in and Made Contributions to FC Richmond's Soccer Programs.
 

Scholarships are awarded to those individuals who exhibit academic excellence, leadership skills, community involvement and a commitment to soccer.  FC Richmond annually awards scholarships to graduating seniors pursuing a college education:  $1,000 scholarships and $500 scholarships are awarded to players that are selected by the FC Richmond Scholarship Committee.
 

This year’s FC Richmond College Scholarships are awarded to the following players.

$1,000 – Erin Liberatore – FC Richmond Mystx ‘90

$1,000 – Tyler Pegoraro – FC Richmond Magic ‘89

$500 – Nicholas Georges – FC Richmond Magic ‘89

$500 – Bennett Jessee – FC Richmond Magic ‘89

FC Richmond Players Selected to All Central Region Soccer Teams.
Several members of the FC Richmond Magic and Mystx program have been selected as members of the All Central Region High School Team.  For a complete list of FCR players selected to the teams, click here.
 
Special congratulations goes out to FC Richmond coach, Mike Anderson, who was selected as the Coach of the Year in the Region.  Also, FC Richmond Mystx '90 player, Erin Liberatore, was The Girls Region Player of the Year.

FC Richmond Teams Enjoy Success in Memorial Day Tournaments...
Fourteen FC Richmond Teams (Magic, Mystx, and PDP) competed in Memorial Day Tournaments this past weekend.  Some teams travelled up to the Philadelphia area to compete in the Philadelphia Youth Soccer Classic.  The remaining teams stayed in Richmond to compete in the Richmond Kickers Colonial CupAfter the weekend of action, FC Richmond had 6 teams finish as Champions and 2 teams finish as Runners-up.  Here are the full details:

Dylan Bowman enjoys success in Georgia and is now headed to Chicago!!!
 
Dylan Bowman (FC Richmond Magic '91) recently headed to Atlanta as a member of the U18 National Team Pool of players selected to complete in US Academy Scrimmages.  Dylan started the first game against the Atlanta Fire (played the entire game) and came on as a 2nd half sub in the 2nd game against the Concorde Fire.  He finished the weekend contributing with one assist and countless defensive efforts.  As a result of Bowman's stellar play in Atlanta, he has been selected to join the U17 MNT outside Chicago this weekend for the Development Academy Spring Showcase.
Dylan will join the U17 MNT on Thursday evening and play games throughout the weekend, returning on Monday.  Dylan is very excited about this unbelievable opportunity and is appreciative of all the well wishes everyone is sending him.  As soon as he returns, we hope to have more updates of his trip.

More FC Richmond players heading to Region I Event!!
 
Matthew Williams and Andrew Portell, both members of the FC Richmond Magic '94 (U13 Boys) have been selected to the VYSA '94 Boys State Team that will compete in the Region I Event held at Rider University, June 6-8.
 
Along with Matthew and Andrew, Alex Daly, a member of the FC Richmond Mystx '95, will be heading to Ryder for the Region I event as a member of the VYSA '95 State ODP Girls team.  Grace Fehan, member of the FC Richmond Mystx '94 team, has been selected as an alternate to the state team.
 
FC Richmond wants to congratulate both players on this great accomplishment.  Good luck in New Jersey.

Dylan Bowman called up to US U17 Men's National Team!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 
 
Dylan Bowman, a member of the FC Richmond Magic '91 (U16 Boys) has been invited to join the U17 National Team for 2 Development Academy Games in Atlanta, GA over the weekend of May 17-18. During the games, Dylan will be watched by National Team Staff Coaches in their efforts to finalize a U17 pool of players. 
 
FC Richmond is very proud of Dylan and all of his accomplishments and wishes him the best of luck in Atlanta over the weekend. We plan to update everyone on Dylan's weekend when he gets back from Atlanta.

FC Richmond Mystx '90 Players selected to VYSA Team to compete at Region I ODP Event!!!

Three members of the FC Richmond Mystx '90 team have been selected to the VYSA State Team that will compete at the Region I ODP Tournament during its annual competition at Rider University June 6-8.  Annie Yu and Courtney Zamparello have been selected to the team.  Kendall Sanders has been selected as an alternate for the squad.

Congratulations to all three girls on this wonderful accomplishment and best of luck in New Jersey.

Kelly Diaz, FC Richmond Mystx '90 (U17 Girls), named DigitalSports.com Girls Soccer Player of The Week.

Congratulations goes out to Kelly Diaz who was honored by DigitalSports.com as their Central Regions Girls Soccer Player of the week.  The full interview and video of the interview, along with video of Kelly scoring a goal can be found by clicking here.

FC RICHMOND PLAYERS ENJOY SUCCESS IN COSTA RICA WITH ODP STATE TEAM.

Two FC Richmond Mystx '93 (U14 Girls) players, Katie Cersley and Alex Moore, recently returned from their trip to Costa Rica with the VYSA State ODP '93 team.  While in
Costa Rica, the team competed in 4 games against U17 teams:  UCEM (Montserrat), Costa Rican Girls U17 National Team, San Carlos, and Arenal (URUCA).  The team finished with a record of 2 wins and 2 ties, with Katie contributing 2 assists and Alex adding 1 goal during the trip.  In addition the games, the girls enjoyed some wonderful experiences throughout their time and learned about the Costa Rican culture.  

FC Richmond is very proud of Alex and Katie on this wonderful accomplishment.
