The Juggle-A-Thon is fundraiser that showcases one of soccer’s most valuable and impressive skills. Unlike fundraisers that sell candy bars, entertainment books, etc., the Juggle-A-Thon encourages our players to practice and master one of the essential soccer skills. It helps players set and accomplish goals that can only be reached through commitment, hard work, and self-discipline. Coaches and parents please encourage players to practice juggling before practice and on their own at home.
EVERY PLAYER MUST PARTICIPATE. If a player cannot attend the Juggle-A-Thon on the scheduled evening, that player will need to juggle at their next practice and report their score to their coach or manager.
Attached are the schedules and pledge forms, for players to record the donor’s names, phone numbers, and the amount they have pledged per juggle. Players should give the individual who is pledging a realistic estimate of the number of consecutive juggles they expect to accomplish, so that person will have an idea of how much to pledge. (For example, Mary estimates she can complete 60 juggles. If Bill pledges 5 cents per juggle, he would expect pay $3.00. If Bill pledges 25 cents per juggle, he would expect to pay $15.00). Players will be given 10 minutes to get the most consecutive juggles. All pledges are tax deductible.
There will be many prizes available for the individuals that juggle the most and the individuals that raise the most money. Team prizes will also be awarded for those teams that raise the most money. Every individual that meets their age group target will also receive a prize.
