It's finally here! FC Richmond Rec Soccer kicks off its opening weekend this Saturday, September 7th, and we couldn't be more excited! Looking forward to a great season!

As we gear up for the fall season, we’re excited to welcome back all our players and families. We hope you had a great summer and are ready for an exciting season ahead! Our coaches are prepared and eager to get started, and we look forward to another season of growth and teamwork.

Our U4 clinics are designed to ignite a passion for the beautiful game of soccer from an early age. At the heart of our program is a focus on basic skills development, emphasizing body movement and coordination in a fun and energetic environment. Through age-appropriate activities, we aim to enhance not only their soccer abilities but also their social skills, teamwork, and overall physical literacy.
Program Details:
- 2024-25 U4 season will be for players born in 2021
- Six (45-minute) sessions on Saturdays
- Led by Darien McClurg, FC Richmond's Recreational Site Coordinator and Advanced Skills Coach
- Blend of high-energy drills and interactive games

FC Richmond's TOPSoccer program wrapped up a great first season! TOPSoccer is an outreach program for young athletes with physical or developmental disabilities. This free program is designed to ensure all children have the opportunity to play soccer in an environment that is safe, fun, supportive and inclusive. We had 14 TOPSoccer athletes register for our spring season and look forward to welcoming more athletes in the fall!
We were amazed by the outstanding support of the FC Richmond community who signed up to volunteer to help with the program. We had over 30 players and parent volunteers. The commitment and enthusiasm of the volunteers were instrumental in the success of the season. Their dedication ensured that every athlete felt supported and included; from coaching to cheering on the sidelines, the volunteers played a crucial role in making the program a welcoming and encouraging space for everyone involved.
The ADP Program is designed to help transition players from recreational to travel soccer. With professional coaches and an age-appropriate curriculum, the players will have fun all while being introduced to the technical, tactical, mental, and physical sides of the game. The goal of the program is to provide the fundamental skills that will help prepare your child for 7v7 travel soccer in our Futures Program that begins at U9.

FC Richmond’s U14 Magic Elite was named Game of the Week, showcasing grit and character in battle against a formidable opponent. While victory eluded them, their determination and growth since the fall were evident, making it a match to remember. Blanton Revere deserves special recognition for numerous outstanding saves, displaying exceptional skill and resilience in goal.

“The girls played a hard-fought game that was back and forth the entire match. We went down 1-0 early but rallied back to tie the game on a PK from Lydia Sink. In the second half, we possessed the ball well and scored an early goal by Harper McClenny to take a 2-1 lead. Dynamo came back and tied the game, but the girls did not get discouraged. They continued playing hard and had multiple chances in the last 10 minutes before getting a brilliant game-winning goal from Lydia Sink off a corner from Kasey Natale.” - Coach Blake MacIver
