We are excited to offer Recreational players U7-14 the opportunity to play futsal this Summer 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to get extra touches on the ball in a smaller space indoors. The season will consist of 7-8 games between 5/31-8/2.

We are thrilled to announce that our club will be joining MLS NEXT’s new competition tier starting September 2025. MLS Next is the top boys soccer league in the country and FC Richmond will be the first and only club in Richmond to join this league – marking a historic moment for youth soccer in Richmond. 

Our U13 – U19 boys’ teams will compete in this league alongside some of the most talented young athletes and reputable clubs in the nation. Joining this league will afford our players the opportunity to train and compete at the highest level while bolstering talent identification opportunities for college, professional and national team scouts to evaluate our players on a regular basis.

Prior to expanding, MLS Next executes a rigorous application process for potential new clubs across the country, evaluating facilities, training plans, coaching expertise, player pathways and more. Our selection underscores the success of our club’s mission to produce young athletes who reach their full potential on the field and beyond the game and is a testament to the hard work of our players, coaches and staff.

While we are growing our facilities, introducing new staff and joining the top boys soccer league in the country, our club culture and mission remain the same. It is our commitment to our core principles, and most importantly to our players, that has afforded us success over the past 40 years and will successfully guide us in this new era.

Our dedicated and experienced staff has produced some of the best talent to ever play in Richmond, including 24 professional players, 21 national team players, a Gatorade National Player of the Year and nearly 1,000 NCAA college players.

C Richmond is pleased to offer TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) for young athletes with physical or developmental disabilities. This free program is designed to enable all children the opportunity to play soccer in an environment that is safe, fun, supportive and inclusive. 

Differentiators of TOPSoccer:

• BUDDIES – Each participant is assigned a volunteer, trained ‘Buddy’. This Buddy works with their player individually and makes sure they are safe, engaged, supported, and having fun. 

• COACHES – TOPSoccer coaches and administrators will receive USYS education and certification training that assists them in successfully delivering the program. In addition to providing coaching strategies and tactics specifically for TOPSoccer athletes in mind, the training provides guidance on how to modify typical soccer practice activities so everyone can be successful.

Spring Dates: Saturdays, April 12, 19, 26 and May 3

Time: 3:30-4:30pm

Location: Robious Middle School soccer complex, field 6 (field inside the track)

Birth years: 2011-2019

TOPSoccer athletes will receive a t-shirt to wear to each practice.

We are thrilled to announce a monumental step forward in our mission to elevate the culture and excellence of FC Richmond. Please join us in giving a warm welcome to Gabby Muncy, who will be taking on the newly created role of Director of Club Culture, Leadership, and Girls Program Development, starting January 1st.

Gabby brings with her an impressive background in youth and collegiate soccer coaching, with over eight years of combined experience. In her new role, Gabby will work closely with our girls' teams to develop leadership skills and create player-led cultures where every member feels they belong, matter, and have agency.

Her passion for player development, leadership, and team culture aligns perfectly with our mission to empower every athlete. Gabby comes to us after serving three seasons as the Director of Leadership Development and Team Culture for her alma mater program, Virginia Commonwealth University Women’s Soccer. As a player, Gabby spent her first two seasons at Marshall University before transferring to VCU in the spring of 2014. During her two seasons as a Ram, Gabby served as team captain and Student-Athlete Advisory Committee president. She earned recognition on the All-Academic team in both 2015 and 2016 and received a Hammer Strength All-American nomination in 2016.

A dual-graduate of VCU, Gabby earned her bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science in 2016, before receiving her master’s degree in Sport Leadership in 2017. 

In addition, Gabby is the founder of Juntos Leadership LLC, where she equips and empowers athletes with the mindset, confidence, and problem-solving skills needed to become active drivers of their teams’ success, foster a positive culture, and maximize their experience in athletics.

Under Gabby’s leadership, we aim to:

• Elevate the level of service and development for our girls’ teams.
• Create a culture of excellence, unity, and growth both on and off the field.
• Expand opportunities for our athletes to thrive and reach their full potential beyond the game. 

This strategic addition to our team underscores FC Richmond’s dedication to investing in the future of our girls’ program and ensuring every player has access to top-tier resources to nurture their development.
