FC Richmond Spring Recreation Registration Now Available

FC Richmond’s spring recreation registration is now avaiable.  If you haven’t already done so, make sure you sign up for our brand new winter indoor season.  After that season is complete, we will be gearing up for our Spring Season (though the weather right now feels like the spring season should start today).  Sign-ups for the 2012 Spring are now available...click here for some information.  We will also continue our U4 program in the spring and continue with ALL GIRLS & ALL BOYS TEAMS U5-U19.  So, sign up now to take advantage of the Spring 2012 FC Richmond recreation season.

Congratulations to the U15 Magic, claiming the VCCL U15 League Championship over the weekend.  Along with the U15 Boys, the Magic ’95 (U16 Boys) and the Magic ’93 (U19 Boys) also claimed VCCL Championships.  All 3 teams finished league play without losing a game.  Congrats on a great fall VCCL season.

Congratulations to the FC Richmond Fury -- U19 Girls Recreation team coached by Bob Marin, took home the Midlothian MegaBlast Championship over the weekend of November 19-20.  Congratulations to the girls on a great weekend.

Two members of the FC Richmond Magic ’97 (U14 Boys), Kevin Coleman and Cole Spofford, have been invited into the ODP Thanksgiving Interregional event over the week of November 24-28 in Chula Vista, CA.  Coleman will be making trip to California as a member of the U14 Boys USNT pool, and Spofford will be playing with the Region I team.  Both players, who joined FC Richmond this fall, were also invited into US Soccer’s U14 Boys National Team Identification Camp in August.  Congratulations to both players on this great selection and best of luck in California.  For more information on the trip... click here

Over the weekend of November 12-13, FC Richmond teams competed in the The Capital Fall Classic and the VCCL Boys College Showcase.  The weekend of play was a huge success for FC Richmond teams.

Luis Rendon -- Named National Gatorade Boy’s Soccer Player of the Year!!!

Today, while sitting in his art class at Cosby High School, Luis Rendon (FC Richmond Magic ’93) had no idea what was about to hit him.  In the hallway was former MLS standout, Alecko Eskandarian, ready to come in to the class and let Luis know that he was named Gatorade National Boy’s Soccer Player of the Year.
